Attention Writers: New Bursaries and Grant Funds

The UNESCO-Achsberg Bursaries for Artists is now accepting applications for placements in 2012. These bursaries are aimed at artists, including authors of creative writing, aged 25-35 to take up residencies at host locations around the world for a period of up to three months.

The Open Society Arts and Culture Program (ACP) has announced a call for grant proposals.

The UNESCO-Achsberg Bursaries offer three opportunities for writers with application deadlines in the next two weeks. These residencies would take place in India, France, and Brazil, respectively. Please click on the above link for details.

ACP would like to focus on projects, specifically in Central Asia, that promote cultural production and strengthen cultural platforms. Grants are usually between $1,000-30,000 USD. The deadline for proposal submissions is 31 December 2012.
