Girma Fantaye's new novel is called “Self Meda”, and is written in his native Amharic, the Ethiopian National language. The novel is on the market in Ethiopia.
“Self Meda” (roughly translated Field of Queue) is an imaginary locality in the Eastern part of Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia. The story depicts the life of two young people who lived in the post revolutionary era, and the book deals with the collective loneliness and confusion experienced by its main characters.
This is Girma’s second book. In 2012 he published a collection of poems called “The Quest for the Lost City”.
