ICORN meets with Casa Refugio

ICORN in MEXICO: Since 2006, Casa Refugio in Mexico City, Mexico has been an associate member of ICORN.

This week ICORN Project Manager Helge Lunde and ICORN Advisory Group Member Raffaella Salierno traveled to Mexico to meet with the Director of Casa Refugio Philippe Ollé-Laprune. They will discuss further cooperation between the two projects.

Mr. Lunde and Ms. Salierno will also be meeting with Mexico's Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Mayor of Mexico City. They will be discussing future possibilities between ICORN, Mexico and Latin America in general.

In conjunction with this visit, Casa Refugio hosts a literary evening on November 22nd:

Winds of Exile
The evening's participants:
Carlos A. Aguilera (a Cuban writer, currently the ICORN Guest Writer in Frankfurt),
Xhevdet Bajraj (a poet from Kosovo, a former guest writer at Casa Refugio)
Koulsy Lamko (a playwright, poet, musician and activist from Chad, at Casa Refugio)
Boris Diop (a Senegalese writer , the current guest writer at Casa Refugio)
Francisco Hernández (a Mexican poet)
Salem Zenia (a Berber writer, currently the ICORN Guest Writer in Barcelona)
