Delegates and writers from the ICORN member cities are expected to attend, as well as representatives of cooperating and supporting organisations. Events will include writers workshops, plenary sessions, working groups, and the world premiere of Marion Stalens' documentary film on writers in exile, where many ICORN guest writers are among the portrayed. Attendees will have the option of staying on to participatein the Tribunal 12 call to action on Saturday, 12 May.
The working groups will discuss diverse topics as whether to expand the definition of ICORN artists to include artists and human rights defenders, and tackling the logistical and emotional challenges that guest writers face when their placements come to an end. The promotion of the writers and their work will be an important topic, as will the potentials of working with PEN International and the PEN centres all over the world.
The delegates, writers and observers to the assembly are supposed to register before 13 March, so make sure to act rapidly to be among us for this very exciting and important event. Please contact Marianne Hovdan at mh(at)icorn.org for more information, registration form etc
