Malmö joins ICORN as City of Refuge

Malmö is the fourth Swedish city to join the network, following Stockholm, Gothenburg and Uppsala. This addition to the network coincides with the first events of the Shahrazad - stories for life literary tour focusing on Latin American writers, Diásporas/Encuentros, which visits Malmö tonight .

Starting this week, Shahrazad Stavanger and Shahrazad Stockholm present their third Scandinavian tour of literary events. This time events will consist of literary encounters between Latin American writers and Scandinavian colleagues and audiences, following the model of the previous Hakawati and Mem Û Zîn tours which focused on Arabic and Kurdish literature.

ICORN Guest Writer Carlos Aguilera, Karla Suarez, Josefin Adolfsson, Rene Vazquez Diaz, Rodrigo Fresán, Guadalupe Nettel, Pedro Carmona-Alvarez, Gabriella Håkansson, Torbjörn Elensky, Esther Bendahan, Ana Valdes, Maria Küchen and Lalo Barubia are among the writers who will appear in Diásporas/Encuentros events.
