Paris' Guest Writer participates in cartoon exhibition.
For this exhibition Kianoush Ramezami invited many cartoonists from all over the world to participate, among them several cartonnists currently living in exile. One of the artists invited is the Iranian cartoonist Mana Neyestani who has been living in Paris City of Refuge since February 2011 as their first guest writer. There are several internationally renowned cartoonists participating in the exhibition which will be on show in the Paris Maison des journalistes until the beginning of July 2011. The opening was conducted by Pierre Shapira, the head of international affairs of the City of Paris and the famous cartoonist Jean Plantu who has been working for the French daily Le Monde was also present.
For Paris' guest writer Mana Neyestani it is difficult to live in exile.
I do not miss the streets, the places, and other things in Teheran. But I miss people, my family, my beloved mother, my friends. It is my work which is giving me the chance of being in permanent relations with all these people.
Neyestani said. Neyestani has been a cartoonist and published in the press since 1989.
