Six ICORN writers in new literary anthology

"Lyfta locket av Uppsala"

On February 11, the anthology "Lyfta locket av Uppsala" will be launched in Uppsala. Six ICORN writers have contributed to the publication.

The anthology includes texts by Zurab Rtveliashvili (Stockholm), Nasrin Madani (Växjö), Naeimeh Doostdar (Malmö), Ragip Zarakolu (Sigtuna) , Sedigheh Vasmaghi and Anisur Rahman (Uppsala). The book also consists of texts written by Uppsala citizens and writers who participated in literary workshops led by Uppsala's ICORN Guest Writer 2009-2011 Anisur Rahman under 2014-2015.

Launch

The book launch will take place on 11 February at 7-9 pm at Uppsala Missionskyrkan, Tovensalen.
The programme includes:

Uppsala in literature: Annika E. Gillegård talks about Uppsala in literature and Litteraturcentrum’s role

Panel discussion. Moderator Arne Ruth, former Editor in Chief, Dagens Nyheter

Anna Söderbäck, Director of Culture, Uppsala Municipality

Literary Workshops

More than a hundred writers, both professional and amateur, took part in workshops in 2015, discussing literature and creativity, developing ideas and receiving guidance from invited writers. The literary workshops will continue over 2016 and next series will begin on April 7. Writing workshops conducted by Anisur Rahman are held at the public library, from 5 to 7.30 pm, and are free to attend.
