Welcome to the ICORN General Assembly in Frankfurt
After the official afternoon Assembly opening, the first of many literary events will take place when Leila Aboulela (Sudan), Uday Prakash (India) and Ilija Trojanow (Germany) take part in a reading encounter moderated by Ruthard Stäblein under the heading of My home is literature - where do I find refuge and consolation? Throughout the days of the Assembly, and even on the following friday, a wide range of great writers - among others, Easterine Iralu, Herrad Schenk, Horacio Castellanos Moya, Kader Abdolah, Carmen Francesca Banciu, Faraj Bayrakdar, Mansur Rajih, Pegah Ahmadi, and Carlos A. Aguilera - will take part in similar encounters.
The General Assembly itself is an arena for delegates, observers and other guests to come together and discuss ICORN's future. Each member city is invited to send one delegate, and suggested agenda items must be submitted before 1.April.
