Noufel Bouzeboudja

Writer, performer, journalist

Noufel Bouzeboudja is an Amazigh writer, performer, and journalist from Algeria. He has been an English teacher and director of several Shakespeare productions.

He writes in Arabic, English, Kabyle and French and his novels have been critically acclaimed. Bouzeboudja's latest book is titled Du Haut de Nos Potences ('From Above Our Gallows') and explores themes found within the recent revolutions in North Africa and the Middle East.

Noufel Bouzeboudja resided as guest writer in Fanø City of Refuge from 2011 to 2013.
