Amira Al-Sharif

Amira Al-Sharif is an award-winning photojournalist and photographer from Yemen.

Her work has been published in international media outlets, such as National Geographic, The Washington Post, and The Guardian. Al-Sharif has also worked on assignments for UNICEF, UNHCR, and Oxfam.

She is the recipient of multiple prizes, fellowships, and nominations, including from the World Press Photo Foundation, Women Photograph, the Prince Klaus Fund, the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture, the Samir Kassir Foundation, and Free Press Unlimited's 'Most Resilient Journalist Award'.

Al-Sharif was the ICORN resident in Paris between 2019 and 2021.
