Ghawgha is a musician from Afghanistan, renowned for her peace songs. While pursuing her studies in law, Ghawgha embarked on a musical journey in countries where singing is prohibited by law.

During peace negotiations between warring parties in Doha,  Ghawgha shared her songs on social media, gathering global attention in 2018. Resonating deeply in Persian-speaking regions, her music led to repercussions for individuals in Afghanistan and Iran who engaged with it through singing, dancing, and sharing.

In 2021, Ghawgha was honoured by the BBC as one of the world's 100 most influential women, as part of the BBC's 100 Women of 2021.

Following the upheavals in Afghanistan, Ghawgha took up an ICORN residency in Harstad, Norway, supported by Safemuse. Since then, she has released a mini-album and a full-length album, as well as performing numerous concerts across the world, including the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in 2023.

Continuing her mission to create impactful music for peace, Ghawgha is dedicated to spreading her message and performances worldwide.
