Shoaib Durrazai is a journalist and a human rights activist from Pakistan’s Balochistan province. Having worked with several media outlets in the region, his work has focused on conflict in Balochistan. Shoaib graduated in Mass Communication from the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Sciences, and Technology.

Durrazai started his journalistic career in 2012, working at the Daily Tawar, a local print media group, where he wrote columns about Balochistan’s social, political, and human rights issues. Many of the columnists at the Daily Tawar were subjected to torture, disappearance, and even assassination until the media outlet was banned by the Pakistan's government. Balochistan is one of the most dangerous parts of Pakistan and many local journalists and human rights defenders have suffered persecution, imprisonment, and death.

Following this, Shoaib worked at Samaa News, a private media group, for two years, following which he briefly worked at Bol News, another online media outlet. From 2018 and until his arrival in Norway, Durrazai worked as district correspondent for ARY news. His work has been published in the Balochistan Point, the Daily Express, Pak Voices, Laaltin, the Monthly Sahig Magazine, and the Daily Asap. Shoaib was also a member of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan and the Karachi Union of Journalists.

In September 2022, Shoaib Durrazai and his family arrived in Bergen, Norway where took up a two-year ICORN residency. To find out more about Durrazai and his work, please follow his Twitter/X account.
